Waves of Unity was an event put together by the Deen Institiue of North America and the SMU Muslim Student Association that strove to open channels of communnication between people of different faiths and different backgrounds. The aim was to send waves of unity through the DFW community and to expand these waves so that they carry over to other communities. The event had a powerful impact and spread a message of peace and tolerance throughout the community.
